Only one thing stands between you and success. Connecting with people. I just watched at my 40th reunion that people do not understand the value of people. Jim Collins says, "Those who build great companies understand that the ultimate throttle on growth for any great company is not markets, or technology, or competition, or products. It is the one thing above all others, the ability to get and keep enough of the right people." You do that by connecting with others. Think of them first, my wife always asks me, tell me about them. I must find common ground, I must keep it really simple, I must be interesting, I must be encouraging, inspiring, I must be authentic. But the best part is I can learn how to do all of these things.
